The Suncoast Beaches are located on our 7 barrier islands. From north to south, they are listed below. Each island has its vey own personality. Truly, there is something for everyone - from kitch to sophisticated, from active to quiet. Beach access is plentiful on some and limited on others. You'll find enormous beach volleyball tournaments and sand sculpture contests on Siesta Beach and crowded boat parties on Beer Can Island. Or you can retreat to quiet, private times on Whitney Beach or go camping at Turtle Beach. Each island has multiple offerings. Experiment till you find the right fit for you.
Beach hopping is just one of the many things to do in Sarasota.
